Cupcakes

Last weekend I made cupcakes all BY MYSELF! Then the next day I decorated them, with candy bars. Dad cut them up and I decorated them. They're really good!Michelle hasn't tried one yet, but me and dad both have had two.

I'm a cheerleader!

In educare on Thursdays I go to cheerleading in the commons area. I could choose between a sports club and cheerleading. We have t-shirts and red shorts and pom poms. It's really fun because it's not too hard and we learn at least 1 cheer a day or we practice a cheer we didn't learn very well last week. Soon I will be taking dance again instead. Too bad I can't do both!

Shuttle Launch

Last night, me, my dad, Michelle, and her friend Gen, we all went to the beach to see a shuttle launch. It was really cool. After a while it looked like it was falling toward the ocean, but it wasn't, it was actually just getting farther and farther. At first, it looked really bright, until it got dimmer and dimmer until it just looked like a star. It kindof looked like a really bright and orange star or a mini sun going up towards the sky. It was really cool.

I love to take pictures. These are a few pictures I took around the house when I was kindof bored. I like to overlap things with different colors, textures, and patterns to make different kinds of cool pictures.

New Presciption

Glasses Glasses Glasses. I got new glasses again. And this time I got 2 pairs. One pair I like a lot because it comes with sunglasses lense to go over the lense so I can still see. The other pair is has silver frames, but the sides are blue. It's kinda like my old pair. The ones that comes with sunglass lenses has stars and diamonds on the side and a little bit of diamonds on the front. It's a brownish red. I can see a lot better now. I can't wait to wear my glasses to school.

my dolls

Dear Mom,

When I got my dresser set up, I put my tea set and my doll collection up. I put some pictures of it so you could see how I did it. We added some dolls that I got with Michelle in Utah too. The porcelain doll I got at Somebody's Attic, her name is Holly. She is on the right corner of the dresser. Jessica gave me the one that has smaller dolls inside of it. Me and Michelle can't remember what it's called, but her Dad got it in another country. This was one of the first decorations I did in my room. We haven't gotten to hang things up yet but when we start hanging things up I'm gonna hang up the butterfly mobile very first. We might make a special shelf for my dolls since there aren't any shelves in my room. I love you.

Eliza

Dodger

Today me and Michelle went and got a kitten. He's really playful, cute, and sweet. His name is Dodger, and he loves his toy mouse we got him. He played with it for hours. And then he got really tired so he kindof just rested. A little bit later me and Michelle gave him lots of love, he loved it. I put some pictures of him on my blog also, so you can see what he looks like. Right now he is sitting next to me watching us. He loves to cuddle. Today I was reading my book and he came up and sat right on my chest and started purring really loud. He is a very loud purrer. He is 4 months old. His birthday is just before mine on April 15 2008. He had 8 brothers and sisters and lived in a foster home. We didn't get to name him but we like his name and he's probably used to that name, so we don't want to start calling him a different name. He's such a sweet boy.

"me collage"

For homework for a whole week in school, I had to make a collage about myself. It was pretty fun. It had a bunch of pictures of me and my family. Michelle helped me get pictures of me and my mom off of her blog. There was a picture of me, Michelle, and my Dad at my Grandpa's farm. I put a picture of me bowling, and a picture of this huge beetle that me and Michelle found. I have a post about it also. I put some pictures that I took at the zoo and of the St. Louis arch.

COOL!!

Mom,

I found this bug today in the parking lot at Barnes & Noble. It's HUGE! We're putting a picture on this too so that you can see what it looks like. We tried to search for it on the website you used, but it we couldn't find it on there, so we looked it up on google. It can eat fish and even frogs. It's bite is a little painful (immobilizes their small prey). Luckily it was dead when we found it so it didn't accidentally bite us. They live in shallow ponds and swamps, so it probably came out during the storm. It uses the thing sticking out of it's back end to get air.

p.s. Eliza wouldn't touch it. So, I (Michelle), who do not like bugs, had to put it in a bag to take home and take the pictures. gross.

school's out

On my first day of school I met my teacher and all the other kids in my class. My teacher's really nice and I made two friends. But the second day was when the tropical storm started, so we didn't have school that day or the next day and we probably won't have school for one more day or even more. I'm not very happy about that cuz I like my teacher and my classroom n stuff so I wanted to go to school. But she gave us really fun homework. It's to make a collage about ourselves. It's to be turned in on Friday.

stuck inside

There's a tropical storm here in Florida, Melbourne. It's going until Thursday probably, or maybe longer. We have nothing to do inside really because we don't have our stuff yet. But there's nothing to do outisde and we can't go anywhere cuz most everywhere is closed. So we have to try and entertain ourselved inside. It's not very easy. In our driveway it's flooded. It goes up to the middle of my shins in the middle of the driveway. I know that because me and Michelle went and got soaking wet for a minute or two outside. We came back inside cuz it was getting really cold.

Michelle said i could paint my room. So that's what these pictures are of . it was kind of hard, but fun also. First we had to paint the whole wall one color. We also had to put plastic on the carpet and tape on the base boards so we didn't get paint on those. Then we had to buy stencils so we could paint squares. The squares were a lot easier than the whole wall because the rollers weren't as heavy. We had to keep doing different layers on the squares and wait for them to dry if we were going to do a square on top of them. But it was still fun. It was a little bit easier to paint because our furniture hasn't come yet so we didn't have to worry about covering them all up and putting them in the center of the room and stuff. I really want our stuff, but we do not know how long it will take to get here. We don't even know if it's loaded onto another truck. I already decided where I'm gonna' put stuff in my room. I picked all the colors and the pattern. The picture of me has the lamp that I picked out cuz my room doesn't have a light so we had to buy a floor lamp so we could have light in my room.

GIRLS

Me, Rachel, and Elle just had a sleep-over. Elle is Rachel's sister. Rachel brought a bunch of make-up and Michelle let us borrow some of hers. So, we did make-overs. It was really fun. Afterwards, we took pictures. The next morning, we did more make-up. We all kindof did our own. We helped each other a little bit. I kept wearing my make-up until the mascara started bothering me. But it was really fun having my friends sleep over.

On Monday 29th I found a baby preying mantis at the Ibis. When we found it I was with Michelle. It was going in circles. It wouldn't stop going in circles. We realized that one of its eyelids wasn't opening. It didn't open it until the next day. It was pretty cool and so I took it home. I kept it the rest of that day and the next day too. Well, I actually kept it part of the next day. We let it go in our backyard by a tree. I dumped all the stuff out of the jar that we kept him in, by him.

Escalante

I went to Escalante and camped there . My mom, John and I hiked a lot . We left Wednesday evening and camped at Sunglow in Torrey, Utah. The next day we drove to Fruita and saw the fruit orchards. And also saw Capitol Reef. We drove to Escalante and we hiked to Lower Calf Creek Falls and waded in the water. It's three miles there and three miles back. We set up camp near Ecalante on the Smoky Mt. Road and had dinner, roasted smores, and went to bed.

July 4th, 2008. The next day we got up and went to the slot canyons. We hiked two miles down to the slots and went through one of them named Spooky. I also saw dinosaur tracks and went to Devil's Garden. It is really cool because you can climb all over the rocks. My mom and I climbed on top of an arch and John took a picture of us. We were so exhausted that John treated us to dinner at the Cowboy Blue's Restaurant, we then drove around and looked at farms.

The next day it was rainy, so we went to the BLM Visitor Center, the trading post, and to a thrift store, where I bought a teddy bear. It was raining hard so we packed up and drove back to Salt Lake.

New Haircut

Today I got a haircut. I like it a lot. It's exactly like I wanted it. This is how I found my haircut. I went to Borders and looked at magazines with haircuts in them and I found the one that I really really like. Since I can't exactly describe my haircut, I'm gonna put a picture on my blog. I had to do my haircut a little bit longer than the magazine so I could put it up for dance because I have to have it up for my dance recital. My dance recital is in a couple days.

soccer

My last soccer game was awesome! We won!!!!! We won every game but one this year. I got to play a lot in this one. I didn't sit out that much. The pictures in the soccer slide show are all from this game. To be able to see my slideshow bigger click on the picture. My best friend Hailey's Grandpa took the pictures. He's good at taking pictures. It was our last game but we are still meeting at the park every week to play scrimmage games if we want. My last two soccer games I found out that Hailey's little brother and Rachel's little sister like each other. It's pretty funny.

My last soccer game was really fun! It was 5 to 1. p.s I got 5 scores. I brought snacks. I only stayed out 4 times I think, so I played a lot. My friend Rachel was there. I didn't score any goals this game, but the game before it I did. My coach is really nice, his name is Jamie.
